Job summary

Chipotle Mexican Grill in New York is seeking a Kitchen Leader to learn how to prepare great food, grill meats, and sauté vegetables. You will train Crew members to become future Kitchen Leaders and ensure the kitchen is clean, stocked, and safe.

As a role model, you will promote teamwork, deliver a great customer experience, and help the kitchen meet its goals by standing on your feet and keeping up with busy shifts, while maintaining food quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Restaurant experience preferred.
• Ability to understand and articulate Chipotle’s Food With Integrity philosophy.

Responsibilities

• Cook and prep food to order following kitchen procedures.
• Monitor food waste and inventory; resolve quality issues.
• Support a strong team dynamic between back-of-house and front-of-house crews.
• Develop Crew members into future Kitchen Leaders.
• Communicate effectively with Crew and customers to ensure great service.
• Ensure the kitchen is cleaned and sanitized.
• Maintain equipment and repair issues promptly.
• Ensure compliance with safety guidelines to prevent injuries.
• Fill out MSDS and FIFO inventory records.
