Job description

Growing. Caring. Together.

We want you to grow. Working with us is all about preparing you for whatever will come next, whether that’s a leadership position on our team or your future beyond Chick-fil-A. The vision for our team is to be a launch pad for your future. Our leadership team will coach you and stretch you. We will ask for and expect your very best. We’ll encourage and challenge you. And we’ll do our very best to empower you to help you become more. Your future success is our highest achievement. And we are passionate about helping you become the very best version of you.

Our Culture Defines Who We Are
  • We believe that personal growth drives leadership ability and high performance.
  • We view leadership through the lens of serving and caring for those that we lead.
  • We are driven to realize our highest potential, together as a team and individually.

These beliefs shape our decisions and guide our direction.

Responsibilities

As a Kitchen Leader, you are the face of our organization. You are accountable for the performance of the entire team during your shifts and beyond. This includes guest satisfaction, speed-of-service, drive‑thru performance, kitchen production, food quality, labor control, and other managerial duties.

Restaurant Leadership is not easy, especially as you are growing into the role! Learning to lead a team is one of the steepest growth curves you can set out on within Chick‑fil‑A. Candidates must be able to multi‑task, respond with urgency, lead with a balance of warmth with strength, and hold their team accountable. Because of this, we have created this Restaurant Manager Development Program which is broken down into 2 phases to help your growth and success within our organization.

In phase 1, you will be learning our culture and learning our business. You will spend time in every role within our organization in order to learn the basic competencies required for our store to run effectively every shift. Also during this period, you will be able to build relationships with your teammates, gaining their trust, which will be vital as you lead. Phase 1 typically lasts 2‑4 months but is flexible based on your growth trajectory as a leader within our organization.

During Phase 2, you will begin the training rotations for Kitchen Leading. This period is typically an intensive 5‑8 weeks where you shadow current leaders and lead under their guidance and influence. Your final weeks in Phase 2 will give you the opportunity to prove what you have learned.

After Phase 2, you become an official Chick‑fil‑A Kitchen Leader!

Pay for this role is based on availability and the number of hours you are willing to work. A typical week for a Kitchen Leader is based on a 45 hour week.

Working at a Chick‑fil‑A® restaurant is more than a job – it’s an opportunity for teamwork and leadership development in a positive, people‑focused environment. Most Chick‑fil‑A restaurants are locally owned and operated by independent, franchised operators who invest in the future of their team members and give back to their communities.
