The Opportunity

As Kitchen Leader, you will learn how to prepare great food, grill meats, and sauté vegetables. You are responsible for making sure our food is delicious. You’ll order food and train others to become future Kitchen Leaders.

The Kitchen Leader ensures the quality and safety of Chipotle’s food daily. They keep the kitchen clean, organized, and well-stocked; maintain equipment; serve as a role model; and promote teamwork to create a great customer experience. They are busy on their feet, accomplishing goals, helping teammates, and taking on necessary tasks.

Responsibilities

1. Ensure food quality by cooking and prepping to order, following kitchen procedures.
2. Monitor food waste and inventory, resolve quality issues.
3. Support team dynamics between back and front of house.
4. Develop crew members into future leaders.
5. Communicate effectively with crew and customers.
6. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen.
7. Monitor and repair kitchen equipment as needed.
8. Ensure safety guidelines are followed to prevent injuries.
9. Complete MSDS and inventory rotation procedures.

Qualifications

• Ability to understand and articulate Chipotle’s Food With Integrity philosophy.
• Proficiency in the primary language(s) of the work location.
• High school diploma.
• Restaurant experience.
