The Opportunity

As Kitchen Leader, you will learn how to prepare great food, grill meats, and sauté vegetables. You will ensure our food is delicious, manage food orders, and train future Kitchen Leaders.

The Kitchen Leader is responsible for maintaining food quality and safety, cleanliness, organization, and equipment condition. They serve as role models, promote teamwork, and ensure a positive customer experience. During shifts, they are actively engaged in achieving station goals, assisting teammates, and completing tasks.

Responsibilities

1. Ensure food quality by cooking and prepping food according to procedures.
2. Monitor food waste, inventory, and resolve quality issues.
3. Support team dynamics between back and front of house crews.
4. Develop crew members to become future Kitchen Leaders.
5. Communicate effectively with crew and customers to ensure excellent service.
6. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen.
7. Monitor and maintain kitchen equipment, ensuring repairs are made promptly.
8. Ensure safety guidelines are followed to prevent injuries.
9. Complete MSDS documentation and manage inventory rotation (FIFO).

Qualifications

• Ability to understand and articulate Chipotle’s Food With Integrity philosophy.
• Proficiency in the primary language of the work location.
• High school diploma.
• Restaurant experience.
