The shift supervisor assists the store manager in maintaining a positive environment that provides fast, efficient, and friendly service, ensuring a TOTAL QUALITY EXPERIENCE for both customers and team members. Responsibilities include training, customer service, product knowledge, education, promoting safe work practices, and acting as a manager on duty in the absence of the store or assistant manager.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean, organized, and stocked environment; assist in product shipments when necessary.
- Perform all POS duties, front and back of house functions, including opening and closing procedures, coordinating with the Corporate Office as needed.
- Establish effective communication among team members.
- Assist in maintaining proper coverage and scheduling to meet customer service standards and adhere to meal and break policies.
- Uphold cash handling procedures; be responsible for store funds during shifts.
- Assist in planning and executing sales promotions efficiently.
- Guide and set an example for team members, ensuring SOPs are followed.
- Follow store policies, procedures, and standards for merchandising and cleanliness.
- Promote safe work habits, report hazards, incidents, and conduct initial investigations for accidents.
- Model outstanding service and own the service initiative during shifts.
- Proactively resolve customer issues and build rapport.
- Ensure team members follow SOPs, greet customers promptly, and provide personalized service.
- Monitor, coach, and encourage team members to meet service standards.
- Follow recipes and procedures to maintain product quality and consistency.
- Educate team members on products and services.
- Taste products for quality assurance during shifts.
- Provide coaching and training on performance expectations.
Requirements & Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum one year of hospitality experience or six months of supervisory experience preferred.
- Ability to pass pre-employment background check.
- Effective communication skills in English.
- Availability for overtime, including weekends, evenings, and special events.
- Applicable licenses (e.g., food handlers) as per state/local laws.
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- Computer skills (MS Word, Excel).
- Valid driver's license.
- Pleasant, polite manner, neat appearance.
- Ability to motivate team and work in standing position for long periods.
- Ability to bend, kneel, and lift 25+ pounds.
