The shift supervisor assists the store manager in maintaining a positive environment that provides fast, efficient, and friendly service, ensuring a TOTAL QUALITY EXPERIENCE for both customers and team members. Responsibilities include training, customer service, product knowledge, education, promoting safe work practices, and acting as a manager on duty in the absence of the store or assistant manager.

Duties & Responsibilities
  1. Maintain a clean, organized, and stocked environment; assist in product shipments when necessary.
  2. Perform all POS duties, front and back of house functions, including opening and closing procedures, coordinating with the Corporate Office as needed.
  3. Establish effective communication among team members.
  4. Assist in maintaining proper coverage and scheduling to meet customer service standards and adhere to meal and break policies.
  5. Uphold cash handling procedures; be responsible for store funds during shifts.
  6. Assist in planning and executing sales promotions efficiently.
  7. Guide and set an example for team members, ensuring SOPs are followed.
  8. Follow store policies, procedures, and standards for merchandising and cleanliness.
  9. Promote safe work habits, report hazards, incidents, and conduct initial investigations for accidents.
  10. Model outstanding service and own the service initiative during shifts.
  11. Proactively resolve customer issues and build rapport.
  12. Ensure team members follow SOPs, greet customers promptly, and provide personalized service.
  13. Monitor, coach, and encourage team members to meet service standards.
  14. Follow recipes and procedures to maintain product quality and consistency.
  15. Educate team members on products and services.
  16. Taste products for quality assurance during shifts.
  17. Provide coaching and training on performance expectations.
Requirements & Qualifications
  1. High school diploma or GED.
  2. Minimum one year of hospitality experience or six months of supervisory experience preferred.
  3. Ability to pass pre-employment background check.
  4. Effective communication skills in English.
  5. Availability for overtime, including weekends, evenings, and special events.
  6. Applicable licenses (e.g., food handlers) as per state/local laws.
  7. Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
  8. Computer skills (MS Word, Excel).
  9. Valid driver's license.
  10. Pleasant, polite manner, neat appearance.
  11. Ability to motivate team and work in standing position for long periods.
  12. Ability to bend, kneel, and lift 25+ pounds.
