Role Summary

The Kitchen Supervisor-Lead Baker is responsible for preparing desserts and baked goods for guests. The role involves direct contact with the public, working in areas such as buffet lines and dish preparation. The Lead Baker must maintain excellent attendance and be flexible to work scheduled events.

Compensation & Benefits

Hourly wage: $20.00 to $21.50

Benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) plan with matching, and paid time off (vacation, sick days, holidays).

Responsibilities
  1. Supervise the bake shop team and production schedules.
  2. Prepare desserts, cookies, pies, cakes, and breads per recipes.
  3. Manage inventory, storage, and minimize waste.
  4. Maintain daily production levels for freshness.
  5. Utilize leftovers creatively.
  6. Oversee bakery operations and team leadership.
  7. Ensure quality and consistency of baked goods.
  8. Operate standard kitchen equipment safely.
  9. Communicate effectively with team and management.
  10. Possess or obtain required food handling certifications; ServSafe preferred.
Qualifications
  • At least 2 years of supervisory experience in a bakery setting.
  • Experience in high-volume banquet, hotel, or stadium environments.
  • Background in scratch baking and pastry arts.
  • Ability to operate kitchen equipment.
  • Strong communication skills in English.
  • Team-oriented and able to work in fast-paced settings.
