Kitchen Lead

A kitchen lead is responsible for leading the Back of House Operations, on shift, in the restaurant. We are looking for people with a passion for the kitchen, including food preparation, presentation, and operations. Dependability and hard work are essential for this position. If you bring positive vibes, knife skills, and attention to detail, this is the job for you. We promote from within, and our kitchen leads have a flexible schedule with opportunities to grow into management roles.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the kitchen in food preparation and production, ensuring quality and presentation
  • Proficiently lead all kitchen positions, following Tokyo Joe's standards and procedures
  • Create and execute kitchen prep lists
  • Maintain food safety, sanitation, cleanliness, and equipment maintenance
  • Handle knives proficiently
  • Manage team through positive communication, teamwork, and delegation
  • Open and close the restaurant to high standards
  • Verify food deliveries and ensure FIFO organization
  • React quickly to crises and changes
