Job summary

The University of Iowa Health Care's Food and Nutrition Services seeks a Kitchen Helper to assist in daily cleaning and support in the General Hospital food service area.

Under direct supervision, you will clean designated areas, transport dishes, and help maintain a safe, sanitary kitchen on campus. This part‑time, on‑site role offers regular hours and campus benefits.

Job description

The University of Iowa Health Care department of Food and Nutrition Services is seeking a Kitchen Helper who, under direct supervision, performs routine cleaning and other duties in the General Hospital food service area.

• Cleans designated kitchen areas, dish room, and restrooms
• Transports soiled and clean dishes
• Empties trash and recyclable material containers

Schedule

Week A: Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 1:00pm to 5:00pm Days Off - Tuesday/Saturday

Week B: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday 1:00pm to 5:00pm Days Off - Sunday/Thursday

Location:General Hospital

Salary: $17.66/hour

This position is performed fully on campus.
