Parkrose Chateau, the premier independent living community for active seniors in Portland, is now hiring for a full-time Kitchen Helper/Dishwasher. Must be able to work weekends.

*We are currently offering a $300 retention bonus paid out after 90 days of continuous employment!*

The Kitchen Helper is cross-trained to perform all tasks in the kitchen. This role offers training and development with the potential to advance to positions such as Cook, Sous Chef, or Executive Chef after proven performance.

Job Duties and Requirements:

1. Help serve meals to residents at their tables.
2. Clear dishes from residents' dining tables.
3. Wash and store dishes.
4. Set dining room tables.
5. Assist with light food preparation tasks as needed.

Skills and Abilities:

• You must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with residents.
• Friendly, professional, energetic personality with a passion for improving lives.
• Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation procedures.
• Maintain a food handler's permit as required by state regulations.
• Strong desire to advance in the culinary industry by working diligently and meeting deadlines.
