AVAILABLE: Immediately

SHIFT: 7.5 hours per day, Monday - Friday when school is in session and meals are served, August - May

COMPENSATION: $13.76-$15.78 per hour

Qualifications

  • High school graduate or GED
  • ServSafe Certification Preferred or must be willing to acquire certification after hire.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with all employees, students and parents.
  • Familiar with and/or capable of learning cash register operations point of sale system.
  • Punctual and excellent attendance record
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently, efficiently, quickly and accurately under tight time constraints
  • Knowledge of Health Department Regulations for safe food handling and sanitation
  • Knowledge of School Food Service Basics preferred
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to perform the physical requirements of the job, including bending, twisting and lifting up to 50 pounds on a regular basis, ability to push on a regular basis, ability to push and/or pull loaded carts and stand for long periods of time without accommodations.
  • Pre-placement physical screening to include agility will be required at the expense of the employer for new hires.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assist with general kitchen production including cooking and baking.
  • Prepare, assist with set up, serving or cashiering and clean up for breakfast.
  • Keep accurate records of production.
  • Fill in for assistant cook when needed.
  • Keep work space and equipment clean and organized.
  • Capable of completing all general kitchen and baking duties efficiently; preparation; serving and clean up.
  • Assist with serving line set up for meal service.
  • Cashier or assist with serving during lunch periods.
  • Assist with tear down and general clean up after meal service.
  • Application of individual student deposits if necessary.
  • Other duties which may be assigned.
