Job summary

Lunchtime Solutions is seeking a dependable Kitchen Helper for the Garretson School District on-site. You will assist with prep, serving students, and keeping the kitchen clean, working Monday–Friday, 7:30am–2pm.

The role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and supporting a positive lunch experience for students. A daytime schedule helps you enjoy evenings and weekends off.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and ability to work independently or in a team.
• Ability to follow recipes, measure ingredients, and scale for large batches.
• Dependability and commitment to excellent customer service.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Help prep and serve menu items, keep station stocked, follow serving-size and dietary guidelines.
• Follow simple recipes and keep kitchen, storage areas, and equipment clean using FIFO.
• Maintain food safety, complete basic logs, assist production records, and keep workspace safe.
• Communicate supply needs, feedback, and updates to the team and supervisors.
• Stock and serve items during meal service and help with prep lists and freezer pulls.
• Jump in where needed to help teammates, train new staff, and assist when someone is out.

Lunchtime Solutions is seeking a dependable, team-focused Kitchen Helper to join our school food service program. In this role you'll keep meal service running smoothly by helping prep simple menu items, serving students, and keeping the kitchen clean and organized. It's an active, team-focused role that makes a real impact on students' day.

What You'll Do

• Help prep and serve menu items, keep your station stocked, and follow serving-size and special-diet guidelines.
• Follow simple recipes like fruit and veggie bars or baked goods while keeping kitchen, storage areas, and equipment clean and organized using FIFO.
• Maintain food safety and compliance Follow food-safety steps, complete basic logs, assist with production records and help maintain a safe workspace.
• Communicate supply needs, feedback, and updates to your team and supervisors.
• Stock and serve items during meal service and help with prep lists and freezer pulls.
• Jump in where needed from helping teammates, training new team members and assisting when someone is out.
