Job summary

Kasai Teppanyaki Steak & Sushi House Ltd in Kelowna, BC is seeking a kitchen helper to support a busy professional kitchen. You will bring clean dishes to stations, prep simple items, and help sanitize work areas to keep service seamless.

This is a part-time role with potential to advance to full-time, offering an hourly wage of 18.50 CAD and 20–40 hours weekly. English required; secondary school diploma preferred; experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Bring clean dishes, flatware and other items to serving areas and set tables
• Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand
• Package take-out food
• Portion and wrap foods
• Prepare, heat and finish simple food items
• Clean and sanitize kitchen including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances and equipment
• Receive, unpack and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards and other storage areas
• Remove kitchen garbage and trash
• Sharpen kitchen knives
• Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors
• Wash, peel and cut vegetables and fruit
