Job summary

DO & CO group in Des Plaines, IL is seeking a dynamic Kitchen helper to join our growing team. You will support a busy kitchen and learn from experienced chefs in a luxury hospitality environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist senior team members in running a busy kitchen.
• Deal with deliveries and assist with stock rotation.
• Ensure all food is prepared and cooked to standards.
• Maintain high hygiene standards.
• Assist chefs with basic tasks for hot and cold meals.
• Prepare vegetables by washing, chopping, and dicing.
• Comply with food safety regulations per handbook.
• Report issues with the safety system to manager and team.

Responsibilities:

• Assistingsenior team members in running a busy kitchen.
• Dealing with deliveries andassistingwith stock rotation.
• Ensuresall food is prepared and cooked according to specific standards.
• Maintaininghigh standardsof hygiene.
• Assistchefs and cooks with basic kitchen tasks, such as preparation of Hot and Cold meals (Halal and/or Non-Halal).
• Prepare food by washing, chopping, and dicing vegetables usingknifeor peeling machine.
• Comply withall food safety and hygiene regulations asstatedin the food safety management system handbook.
• Report problems with the food safety management system to their manager and the hygiene and food safety team
