Job summary

Aramark is seeking a Food Service Worker to support the kitchen team with meal prep, sanitation, and quality control. You will help prepare a planned menu, maintain sanitary storage, and assist in daily transaction reporting while upholding safety standards.

The role involves working with equipment, following procedures, and supporting a clean, organized kitchen. Training may be provided to meet quality and safety expectations.

Qualifications

• Food service certificate as needed.
• Ability to read, write and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to work quickly and under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quality food and baked goods according to a planned menu.
• Prepare a daily report that verifies transactions.
• Understand what is inclusive of a meal.
• Ensure storage of food in sanitary and accurate manner.
• Serve food according to meal schedules and policies.
• Use and care of kitchen equipment, especially knives.
• Timely preparation of a variety of food items and beverages.
• Add garnishments for customer happiness and eye appeal.
• Coordinate and assist in cleaning refrigerators, freezers, and equipment.
• Adhere to food safety regulations for sanitation and storage.
• Adhere to the uniform policy.
• Connect with the Manager daily to prepare the menu for the day.
• Supervise food temperature requirements.
• Maintain a clean and organized work and storage area.
• Scrub and polish counters and sanitize steam tables and equipment.
• Follow cleanliness procedures; duties include sweeping, mopping and ware washing.
• Maintain garbage collection sites and kitchen floor areas neatly.
• Perform other duties as assigned including other kitchen areas.
• Role may involve lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and extended standing; PPE may be required.
