Job description

· Guardian is seeking a Kitchen Fire Suppression Technician This position requires the ability to service, inspect and repair kitchen suppression systems for established commercial customers on a scheduled basis and must be available for on call rotation.

Job Duties:

· Inspecting and repairing pre-engineered restaurant fire suppression systems manufactured by ANSUL, Pyro Chem, Range Guard and Piranha.

· Thorough understanding of NFPA, manufacturer and local fire codes for restaurant fire suppression systems.

· Performing on-site emergency troubleshooting of fire suppression systems.

· Identifying NFPA code and non-conformance issues.

· Maintain proper documentation for all work performed.

· Perform fire marshal tests and inspections.

· Available for on-call rotation.

Qualifications:

· A current and valid driver's license with 3 or less points is required.

· Three years of licensed driving experience is required.

· Two or more years' experience inspecting restaurant fire suppression systems.

· Must have knowledge and understanding of all NFPA codes.

· Willing to work varied hours, nights, early morning and weekend shift when needed.

· Must have excellent attendance and can handle responsibility.

· Must be comfortable working on ladders 6 to 12ft and on lifts.

· Ability to lift up to 70lbs, to work overhead and in unusual or small spaces such as attics and crawl spaces.

· Skills to communicate well with customers and explain the work being done and any repairs that are necessary.

· Skills to write well and be very detailed in your write up on service work.

· Must be well organized and be able to keep track of service tickets and process all required documents for each service performed.
