Job summary

Steel Mountain Fire & Safety is hiring dependable Kitchen Exhaust Cleaning Technicians to service restaurant exhaust systems across the Triangle and surrounding areas, helping keep commercial kitchens safe and compliant with fire codes.

You’ll join an experienced team, perform cleaning of hoods, ductwork, and fans, travel to multiple locations each night, and operate safely with ladders and rooftop work. Pay ranges $18–$25 per hour, full-time or part-time, with benefits including 401(k) and PTO.

Qualifications

• Physically active work required; comfortable performing manual labor.
• Comfortable working on ladders and rooftops as needed.
• Safety-minded and able to follow company procedures.
• Reliable and able to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Clean and service commercial kitchen exhaust hoods, ductwork and fans.
• Remove grease buildup using specialized equipment and cleaning solutions.
• Work safely on ladders and rooftops when required.
• Follow company safety procedures and industry standards.
• Maintain a clean and professional work environment.
• Travel to multiple restaurant locations each night.
