Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety is hiring a Kitchen Exhaust Cleaning Technician to independently manage the full KEC service lifecycle on commercial kitchens. You will set up containment, perform pre-scrape and high-pressure washing, ensure NFPA 96 compliance, and complete accurate service documentation.

Responsibilities include safeguarding client facilities, reporting deficiencies, and traveling to job sites as required. A HS diploma and 3+ years in commercial cleaning are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform full KEC services including setup, containment, pre-scrape, and power washing.
• Pre-scrape grease and power wash hoods, ducts, and exhaust fans per NFPA 96.
• Complete final cleanup and return kitchen to operation.
• Protect facilities and surroundings during service activities.
• Document deficiencies, hazards, or non-compliant conditions.
• Prepare service reports and communicate results timely.
