Pye-Barker Fire & Safety in Laurel, MS seeks a Kitchen Exhaust Cleaning Technician to independently perform the KEC service lifecycle on commercial kitchen exhaust systems. The role ensures NFPA 96 compliance and protects customer environments while delivering accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of commercial cleaning experience as a KEC apprentice or technician preferred.
• Clean driving record and active driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete KEC services including setup and teardown of containment.
• Pre-scrape grease buildup and power wash hoods, ducts, filters and exhaust fans to NFPA 96.
• Perform final cleanup and restore kitchen environments to operation.
• Protect customer facilities, appliances and surroundings during work.
• Identify deficiencies, hazards or non-compliant conditions and document findings.
• Complete accurate service reports and communicate results timely.
• Inspect and maintain service vehicles and equipment; request repairs as needed.
• Travel to job sites and operate company vehicles safely.
• Follow company safety procedures and use PPE.
