Job summary

Whole Foods Market is seeking a Kitchen Team Member to manage dishwashing and maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen area. The role emphasizes courteous, friendly, and efficient service to customers and Team Members while following store SOPs and health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities include washing dishes, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, assisting with deliveries and storage, and supporting pricing and merchandising.

Qualifications

• No prior retail experience required.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Stand/walk 6-8 hours per 8-hour shift.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Washes, rinses, and sanitizes dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and small wares.
• Maintains cleanliness of floors, mats, drains, walls, and shelves in the kitchen area.
• Assists with kitchen deliveries including proper storage, organization, and rotation of products.
• Arrives to work station on time, appropriately groomed, dressed and ready to work; works all scheduled shifts and attends required trainings and meetings.
• Provides excellent customer service, addresses needs of customers in a timely and effective manner and models suggestive selling techniques.
• Maximizes sales potential through proper prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising product.
• Follows and complies with procedures including health and sanitation and safe work practices.
• Maintains a clean and sanitary working and shopping environment; maintains equipment to standards.
• Performs opening, mid, and closing duties; ensures accuracy of signs and pricing.
