Job summary

Grove Brunch Cafe is seeking a Kitchen Dishwasher/Prep to join our team in a fast-paced dining environment. You will help keep the kitchen running smoothly by washing dishes, assisting with prep, and maintaining cleanliness throughout shifts.

The role involves gathering used dishware, loading dishwashers, hand-washing select items, and ensuring adequate stock of clean utensils during peak hours. Training provided, with emphasis on safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience in a busy kitchen setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect used kitchenware from dining and kitchen areas.
• Load and unload dishwashing machines.
• Wash items by hand (e.g. wooden cutting boards, large pots, delicate china).
• Store clean dishes, glasses, and equipment properly.
• Ensure sufficient clean dishes and utensils during peak hours.
• Maintain cleaning supplies stock and place orders when necessary.
• Assist with preparation of some kitchen items.
• Check machines' operation and report issues promptly.
• Remove garbage regularly.
• Sanitize kitchen area and floor.
• Follow health inspection protocols.

Overview:

• Collect used kitchenware from dining and kitchen areas


• Load and unload dishwashing machines


• Wash specific items by hand (e.g. wooden cutting boards, large pots, and delicate china)


• Store clean dishes, glasses, and equipment appropriately


• Ensure there are always enough clean dishes, glasses, and utensils, especially during peak hours


• Maintain cleaning supplies stock (e.g. detergents) and place orders when necessary


• Help with the preparation of some kitchen food items


• Check washing machines' operation and promptly report any technical/performance issues


• Remove garbage regularly


• Sanitize the kitchen area, including the floor


• Follow all health inspection protocols & procedures
