Job summary

Des Moines Golf and Country Club in West Des Moines, IA is seeking a Part Time Evening Dishwasher to join the PM kitchen team. The successful candidate must be available 3:00 pm to close and on Saturdays and Sundays, working in a professional, respectful kitchen environment.

Responsibilities include dish cleaning, kitchen sanitation, and maintaining the overall cleanliness of the dish area. You may train new dish machine operators, set up the machine, monitor supplies, and assist with recycling

Responsibilities

• Dish cleaning and kitchen sanitation duties; sweeping, mopping, and keeping the dish area in good condition.
• May train new dish machine operators on pre-scraping/pre-spray and placement of pots, pans, and glassware.
• Ensure dish machine setup and supplies levels; alert Chef if maintenance or chemicals are needed.
• Keep dish areas and kitchen clean and safe.
• Assist recycling of kitchen refuse and dispose of trash properly.
• Monthly cleaning of kitchens/equipment (hoods, etc.).
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Details: Job Location: 1600 JORDAN CREEK PKWY - WEST DES MOINES, IA, Position Type: Part Time, Salary Range: Undisclosed, Job Shift: Any, PAR TIME EVENING DISHWASHER - Join a great work environment where employees are treated with respect and fairness, join the Dishwashing PM team, must be available 3:00pm to close and must be available Saturday and Sundays, and work in a great professional kitchen enviornment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the performance of the dish cleaning and related kitchen cleaning and sanitation duties, including but not limited to sweeping, mopping, and dishwasher breakdown and overall condition of the kitchen daily.
• May train new dish machine operators the methods of proper pre-scraping and pre-spray of all soiled dishes, pots, and pans, racking glassware and dishes, sorting silverware, and placing pots and pans in triple sink for washing.
• May ensure that all dish machine operators know how to set up dish machine, checking levels of all washing supplies, i.e., soap, rinse, etc.; advises Chef if any maintenance is needed for dish area equipment, or if chemicals are needed.
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment in the dish areas and kitchen.
• Assist in the collection of recycled kitchen refuse and properly disposes of items in trash compactor or recycling bins.
• Monthly cleaning of the kitchens and equipment such as hood cleaning or other special cleaning needs.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
