New York State Department of Health is hiring a part-time Food Service Worker 1 to perform a variety of kitchen tasks, including food preparation, serving meals, and maintaining dining areas. The role requires flexibility to swing to all shifts, including weekends, with a 12-hour day schedule as needed.

The position supports meal service for individuals requiring special diets and involves unloading deliveries, stocking supplies, and ensuring proper portions.

Qualificações

• No education or experience qualifications are required for this class.
• Preferred candidate will have kitchen experience, be a team player, and willing to go above and beyond.

Responsabilidades

• Wash refrigerators and equipment by hand and with equipment, cleaning with various substances.
• Clean dining and service areas, load/unload deliveries, and stock supplies.
• Prepare and serve meals, including simple grill-type foods and beverages.
• Assist those unable to feed themselves and ensure proper portions for special diets.
• Record meals served and maintain cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas.
• Washes dishes and maintains inventory of requisitions and supplies.
