The Salvation Army in Grand Island, Nebraska is seeking a part-time Kitchen Assistant to support daily lunch programs. You will cook with volunteers, follow safety standards, and help manage kitchen operations.
Key responsibilities include menu planning, inventory management, staff and volunteer supervision, and maintaining sanitary conditions. The role supports community hunger relief efforts and requires flexibility, teamwork, and reliable attendance.

To provide nutritional support for multiple feeding programs, including a hot meal each weekday at lunch. To cook well-balanced meals while adhering to Serv-Safe and other safety standards.

Experience in the related field of one to three months is greatly encouraged.
Must pass all applicable background checks.
Must successfully complete Safe from Harm training within 90 days of hire, as established by The Salvation Army and Serve Safe Certification, CPR, and AED.
