We are hiring a food support specialist to manage the daily food prep, supply and inventory management for our childcare center. The ideal candidate is responsible for all food management of our School and must have knowledge of current food sanitation and health and safety procedures. Competitive pay pending experience. Initial working hours will be 6:30am to 3:00pm but hours may vary slightly based on the needs of schools operations.

Daily Responsibilities and Possible Job Duties Include:

  • Create and manage inventory, prepare menus, and calculate portions;
  • Prep and serve breakfast and snack, serve lunch following USDA nutritional guidelines for children;
  • Cleaning and washing prep table, sweeping and mopping the floors, and cleaning and organizing the prep fridge and pantry;
  • Washing dishes and following 3 step sanitizing system;
  • Prepare sanitizing bottles for classrooms;
  • Maintaining overall cleanliness in the kitchen and equipment;
  • Managing inventory for safe food handling;
  • Assisting in other areas as needed assigned by management.
Job Requirements

A food handler must meet the following qualifications:

  • The ability to prepare food and serve food, in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations for the state.
  • The ability to understand and comply with the School’s policies relating to food service and employment policies.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with school personnel, children and parents.
  • The ability to work independently, and be flexible
