Job summary

Mister B’s Pizza and Wings is seeking a skilled Cook to prepare delicious meals according to our menu and deliver them timely. You will work in a fast-paced kitchen, follow recipes and sanitation rules, and help maintain a clean, organized environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as cook.
• Experience with cutting tools, cookware and bakeware.
• Knowledge of various cooking procedures (grilling, baking, boiling).
• Ability to follow sanitation procedures.
• Ability to work in a team.
• Very good communication skills.
• Excellent physical condition and stamina.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
• Ability to stand for 6+ hours.
• Ability to lift and carry 50+ lbs.
• Ability to work in very hot environments at times and with very hot equipment daily.

Responsibilities

• Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment.
• Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat etc.).
• Cook food in various utensils or grillers.
• Check food while cooking to stir or turn.
• Ensure great presentation by dressing dishes before they are served.
• Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen.
• Ensure all food and other items are stored properly.
• Check quality of ingredients.
• Monitor stock and place orders when there are shortages.

Job description

An excellent cook must be able to follow instructions in cooking and delivering well‑prepared meals. They must be deft in moving around the kitchen and apt in multi‑tasking. Experience in using various ingredients and cooking techniques is also important. The goal is to help preserve and enhance our reputation so we can expand our clientele.

Payroll Administration

• Pay date is on Tuesday
• Pay is bi‑weekly
• Pay checks can be printed or direct deposit. Direct deposit can be changed at your convenience, just contact Beth Ann.
• If you have government assistance forms, loan application forms, anything that needs to be completed by your employer, contact Beth Ann, and this can be completed typically within 5‑10 minutes.
