Job summary

Cardenas Markets is seeking a Kitchen Clerk to deliver quality customer service in a retail store environment. You will be a role model by upholding company values and helping customers.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, stocking displays, maintaining cleanliness and food safety, assisting cooks, and handling front counter orders by phone and in person. The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs and standing/walking throughout shifts.

Qualifications

• Valid Food Handlers Card.
• Customer service and retail experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers in a friendly manner.
• Organize products and ensure cases are fully stocked.
• Maintain standards for cleanliness, safety and food handling.
• Assist cooks with preparing dishes.
• Restock front counter utensils, water, vegetables and drinks.
• Operate kitchen equipment including heat sources, mixers and blenders.
• Take food orders in person and by phone.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
