Base pay range

$18.00/hr - $22.00/hr

Role and Responsibilities

The kitchen clerk supports kitchen operations by managing inventory, assisting with food and supply organization, ensuring product rotation, and working closely with kitchen leadership to meet production and inventory needs. Key responsibilities include:

• Reporting to the Shift Leader and communicating production needs.
• Conducting weekly inventory checks and tracking inventory accurately.
• Maintaining an organized kitchen warehouse.
• Collaborating on production orders and assisting with inventory picking.
• Ensuring par levels are met with minimal variance.
• Monitoring expiry dates and reporting issues.
• Receiving orders, checking for accuracy, and reporting shortages.
• Organizing freezer and cooler storage.
• Reporting inventory issues and expired products.
• Supporting weekend plate entries and communicating via email with relevant teams.
• Ensuring FIFO stock rotation to prevent expired goods.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Basic knowledge of food safety and inventory management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with a proactive attitude.
• Experience with inventory systems or warehouse organization is a plus.
• Basic computer skills: Word, Excel, Outlook; experience with SageX3 is a plus. Bilingual in English and Spanish is advantageous.

Preferred Skills

• Ability to work in cold environments for extended periods.
• Physical capability for lifting, bending, and moving items.
• Basic skills in warehouse machinery such as forklifts and power jacks.
• Commutability to Hunts Point, The Bronx.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, diverse environment.
