Job summary

Stew Leonard's is seeking a Culinary Assistant – Chicken Slicer to support our fresh foods team. This part-time hourly position focuses on chicken preparation, packaging, and delivering friendly customer service in a fast-paced store setting.

You will set up the chicken station, operate the slicer, maintain cleanliness, and ensure product quality. Prioritize safety while assisting on other duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Safely use/operate knives, knife sharpeners, scalers, scales, and wrapping machines.
• Excellent customer service.
• Good oral communication skills.

Culinary Assistant – Chicken Slicer

Part Time Hourly – Estimated pay range $17.75 to $18 depending on qualifications and experience.

Must be at least 18 years and older

Position Description

As a Culinary Assistant-Chicken Slicer, you will perform various tasks relating to chicken preparation, packaging, and customer service.

Your day-to-day:

• Set up chicken station
• Wipe down and clean chicken station, as needed
• Ensure excellent quality of chicken
• Proper use of slicer machine
• Stock supplies for the chicken preparation
• Package finished products
• Adhere to all health, sanitation, and safety regulations
• Assist in other duties, as assigned

Qualifications:

• 18 years of age or older
• Safely use/operate knives, knife sharpeners, scalers, scales, and wrapping machines

Working Conditions:

• This position requires frequent walking, standing, reaching, and occasional pulling, pushing, squatting, and lifting with a maximum of 50lbs
• This position requires frequent exposure to grease, oil, and extreme heat (non-weather related) and occasional exposure to smoke, noise, and weather
