Description

Assist customer cashier transactions at the kitchen hot food area.

Job Duties

• Operate cash till, balancing at the end of your shift.
• Greet customers politely.
• Complete all sales transactions: Cash, Credit Card, Debit Card, WIC, and Food Stamps.
• Cash checks according to policy.
• Bag merchandise after sales are completed and paid for.
• Thank customers for their patronage.
• Maintain a clean workstation.
• Walk through the produce department daily.
• Know weekly specials.
• Sign in and out for breaks.
• Scan items per minute within policy.
• Follow cash irregularities policy.

Job Requirements

• Follow dress/uniform policy.
• Pass Produce Code Test.
• Pass WIC Grocery Test.
• Follow ABC (Alcohol Beverage Control) regulations, ask for ID from individuals under 35 for alcohol and under 21 for cigarettes.

Essential Job Duties

• Lift boxes/products 20-60 lbs.
• Place bags/products onto shopping carts.
• Push/pull 30-50 lbs.
• Bend/Stoop to pick up or place items below waist level.
• Place products on shelves for sale.
• Grip products to place in shopping bags.
• Keep work area clean by sweeping.
• Reach above shoulder level for placing items in bags.
