Job summary

Northern Building Supply in northwest Michigan is seeking a Kitchen & Bath Designer to assist customers and builders in design and product selection within a retail setting. The role includes site visits, accurate measurements, and order coordination to ensure timely project completion.

The designer will leverage extensive product knowledge, perform CAD-based designs, and manage accounts while pursuing new business opportunities. A focus on customer service and precise documentation is essential.

Qualifications

• Advanced CAD skills, salesmanship, and strong verbal design presentation.
• Deep knowledge of kitchen and bathroom design and materials.
• Broad knowledge of cabinet lines, countertops, sinks, faucets, and related products.

Responsibilities

• Solicit new accounts, conduct job site visits, and prospect for new projects.
• Greet clients to the design center, assess needs and assist with product selection and quantities.
• Conduct pre-construction site inspections and measurements.
• Perform automated design capabilities within stock and semi-custom product categories.
• Coordinate material orders, schedules, and deliveries; liaise between customers, vendors and subcontractors.
