Job summary

Gillman Home Center seeks an interior design associate to assist customers with home design projects, focusing on cabinets, countertops, flooring, and appliances. You will travel to customer sites for measurements and consult with homeowners or contractors on layout specifications, ensuring solutions meet customer needs.

Proficiency in 2020 design software and related tools (Saberis, Spruce, 20/20) is required to create accurate designs, quotes, and orders.

Qualifications

College degree in related interior design field preferred.
1-3 years of design experience.
Knowledge and proficient in 2020 design program.

Responsibilities

Provide excellent service to customers.
Greet and assist customers in a positive, approachable manner.
Advise customers on solutions to projects and problems.
Travel to homes or job sites to take measurements.
Utilize Saberis, 20/20, and Spruce to create accurate designs and layouts, quotes, customer orders, purchase orders, and sales invoices.
Respond to customer inquiries regarding product selection, placement of orders, requests for prices and quotations, customer concerns, and scheduling of deliveries and installations.
Order product in correct color, size and quantity from the vendor.
Follow-up with customer from quote to project completion.
Work with the Sales Manager to resolve any customer complaints, product damage, or other issues.
Provide in store support as needed including ringing out customers, price changes, cycle counts, etc.
