Job summary

Acadian Health in Baton Rouge, LA, a premier kitchen and bath design-build firm seeks a Designer to assist Lead Designers with day-to-day planning and project coordination across design-related tasks. The role focuses on supporting cabinetry and finishes knowledge, communicating with clients, preparing drawings and estimates, and ensuring accurate field measurements while maintaining a professional showroom experience for clients during weekdays.

Hours are Monday–Friday 8 a.m.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or Construction Management.
• 1-2 years of industry experience.
• Experience with cabinetry lines including sales, design, estimating, layout.
• Keep up with product knowledge of plumbing, lighting, appliances, cabinetry, countertops, and tile.
• Strong ability and experience communicating and consulting directly with clients.
• Experience with installation drawings, estimates, field measures, and ordering products.
• Experience with job site visits and closing sales.
• Whatever it takes attitude.

Responsibilities

• Assist Lead Designers in day-to-day planning and project tasks.
• Prepare design concepts and client presentations.
• Coordinate with vendors for cabinetry, finishes, and fixtures.
• Conduct site visits and verify measurements.
• Support the sales process from initial consult to closing.
