Job summary

Drury Plaza Hotel – Florence, Kentucky 41042 is hiring immediately for kitchen team members. Starting at $19 an hour plus tips and a quarterly bonus, you’ll work in a fast-paced hospitality environment that values guest service and teamwork.

Under supervision, you will prepare a variety of foods to recipe cards, keep the prep area clean and well-organized, assist guests, and support the bartender as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years old or older.
• Ability to take written and verbal direction in English.
• Ability to operate POS software and kitchen equipment.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members.
• Support bartender but does not pour alcoholic beverages.
• Ability to clean and maintain areas.
• Ability to move around bar and kitchen areas.

Summary: Under general supervision, prepares a variety of food products using kitchen equipment and utensils according to recipe cards to fulfill guest orders following Company policies and procedures. Maintains the food prep area in a clean, well-organized manner while delivering food and assisting guests as needed. Presents a high standard of integrity, service, and hospitality at all times to promote the Drury culture with customers and co-workers. Has general knowledge of the hotel, area, and events to answer questions.

Basic Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years old or older.

• Requires ability to take written and verbal direction in English and speak English clearly.

• Requires ability to operate machines and equipment used, including but not limited to, include POS software, dishwashers, kitchen equipment, etc.

• Requires ability to communicate effectively with customers and all levels of team members; ability to diplomatically deal with difficult situations and people while exhibiting a consistent level of professionalism including bar guests.

• Requires ability to support bartender, but does not make or pour alcoholic beverages.

• Requires ability to clean and maintain areas for which responsible.

• Requires ability to effectively and efficiently move around bar and kitchen area.
