Job summary

Aramark is seeking a Food Service Worker to assist with food preparation, maintain meal records, and support daily reports. You will help ensure quality, sanitation, and kitchen safety in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include preparing meals, serving according to schedules, maintaining equipment and storage areas, and assisting in cleaning. You will follow procedures, adhere to safety standards, and support the manager to prepare the day's menu.

Qualifications

• Food Service Certificate as needed.
• Sufficient education to read, write, and follow instructions.
• Ability to work quickly and concisely under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quality food and baked goods according to a planned menu.
• Prepare a daily report that verifies transactions.
• Understand what is inclusive of a meal.
• Ensure storage of food in an accurate and sanitary manner.
• Serve food according to meal schedules, department policies and procedures.
• Use and care of kitchen equipment, especially knives.
• Timely preparation of a variety of food items and beverages.
• Add garnishments to ensure customer happiness and eye appeal.
• Coordinate and assist in major cleaning of refrigerators, freezers, and cooking and serving equipment.
• Adhere to all food safety regulations for sanitation, handling, and storage.
• Adhere to the uniform policy.
• Connect with the Manager daily to prepare the menu for the day.
• Supervise the food temperature requirements.
• Maintain a clean and organized work/storage area.
• Scrub and polish counters, sanitize steam tables and equipment.
• Follow procedures/standards for cleanliness to ensure a safe environment; duties include sweeping/mopping/ware washing.
• Maintain garbage collection site and kitchen floor areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned including other areas in the kitchen.
• Role may include physical demands and PPE as required.
