Job summary

Hilltop Ski Area in Anchorage, AK seeks a Kitchen Assistant to support culinary and front-of-house teams during the busy season. You will help maintain cleanliness, stock supplies, wash dishes, and assist with food prep and line duties.

Responsibilities

  • Sanitize work areas before, during, and at the end of the shift.
  • Ensure all equipment is clean and properly maintained.
  • Wash dishes, utensils, pots, and pans, placing them in assigned storage areas in an organized manner.
  • Complete daily and weekly cleaning and maintenance tasks.
  • Perform janitorial duties as assigned.
  • Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
  • Assist in preparing food or cooking vegetables, entrees, sauces, meats, and coffee as needed.
  • Stock and restock items on the line according to specifications.
  • Support waitstaff by providing clean dishes, utensils, and other items as needed.
  • Maintain assigned side-work to ensure the total cleanliness and smooth operation of the restaurant.
  • Report to work in a neat, clean uniform and maintain proper personal hygiene in accordance with company policy.
  • Perform other duties as directed to support kitchen and restaurant operations.

Position Summary

The Kitchen Assistant supports the culinary team and front of house in delivering exceptional customer service by performing a variety of tasks to ensure smooth kitchen operations. Responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness, keeping the kitchen well-stocked, and washing dishes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:

Physical Demands and Work Environment
