Job summary

Reach Dane in Madison, WI seeks a Nutrition Service Provider I to support nutritional excellence for children ages 0-5. You will assist in food preparation, service, and cleanup, following Head Start guidelines and state regulations.

This role offers a team-based, multi-site environment with professional growth, mentorship, and opportunities to work with diverse populations. Full-time schedule includes 40 hours/week with summer adjustments; Pay $16.21/hour, with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

  • Age: Minimum 18 years old.
  • Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year in food preparation.
  • Core Skills: Read, write, and follow oral and written directions; Head Start compliance.
  • Professional competencies: Professional demeanor; ability to work with diverse populations.
  • Language: Bilingual in Spanish or Hmong helpful.
  • Additional: Experience with low-income and culturally diverse populations preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in food preparation, service, and cleanup for children ages 0-5.
  • Prepare nutritious breakfast, lunch, and snacks following menus.
  • Follow state and federal food service regulations and Head Start guidelines.
  • Support site sanitation and maintain clean, safe food service environments.
  • Collaborate under NSP III supervision in a team-based environment.
  • Build positive relationships with children, families, and staff.
