Job summary

Masonic Villages of Pennsylvania - Elizabethtown Campus is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to help prepare a variety of ingredients for salads, garnishes, and desserts. You will assist with plating and presentation to support the cook, and ensure proper food handling and storage.

This role offers day and evening shifts, full-time or part-time opportunities, with starting pay at $15 per hour depending on experience.

Qualifications

• A minimum of grammar school education or equivalent.
• Willing to receive on-the-job training.
• Good written, oral, organizational, and basic computer skills.
• People oriented.

Responsibilities

• Peel, dice, shred fruits and vegetables and prep ingredients for salads and garnishes.
• Read, understand, and follow standardized recipes and production sheets; record outputs.
• Prepare and portion salads and desserts; cover, date and store items properly.
• Keep stations stocked and clean; assist with serving line and setting up buffet.
• Assist Cook and Chef with plating and presentation of foods.
