Job summary

Carter Lumber Company is seeking a Kitchen and Bath Estimator with AI experience to design, quote, and bid kitchens and baths. You will produce accurate drawings and pricing from customer blueprints, utilizing 2020 Design and Excel. CAD is a plus. A strong belief in the company mission is essential.

Responsibilities include creating working drawings from blueprints, evaluating designs for standards, and collaborating with Sales to address customer questions. Full-time benefits are provided.

Job description

Carter Lumberis looking fora Kitchen and Bath Estimator with knowledge in AI (artificial intelligence) who would be responsible for designing, quoting, and bidding Kitchen and baths. Ensures drawings and pricing are produced accurately and timely based off of blueprints provided by customers. Requires 2020 Design as well as Excel experience, CAD is a plus.A strong belief in the mission and goals of the company are necessary to this position.

Requirements to be Considered for this Position:

• Knowledgeable in the basic aspects of construction
• Previous experience using 2020 Design as well as Excel
• A level of knowledge in the application of the products being designed
• Competency in basic mathematics
• Knowledgeable in reading architectural plans
• Ability to analyze, trouble shoot and problem solve
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook
• Demonstrated ability to use AI tools effectively

Responsibilities of the Position:

Designing:

• Creates design illustrations based from blueprints to produce working drawings.
• Completes and finalizes designs for installation.
• Evaluates designs to ensure that design standards are being met.

Analyzes and Troubleshoots:

• Reviews and analyzes specifications, blueprints, engineered drawings and related designs to determine factors affecting design of cabinets.

Support:

• Communicates with the team, customers and Sales to ensure designs are accurate throughout the process. Assists Sales in responding to questions/concerns from customers.
