Sunique Cabinets is seeking a Kitchen and Bath Designer to translate client lifestyle and budget into detailed layouts and elevations. You will use CAD tools to craft visually compelling, code-compliant designs for kitchens and bathrooms.

Responsibilities

  • Meet with clients to understand lifestyle, requirements, and design preferences for kitchen and bathroom spaces.
  • Use CAD software and other tools to create detailed layouts that are aesthetically pleasing and compliant.
  • Assist clients in selecting materials, finishes, fixtures, and appliances within budget.
  • Optimize space planning to maximize functionality, ergonomics, and user experience.
  • Provide cost estimates for designs, including materials, labor, and installation expenses.
  • Oversee the design process, coordinating with contractors and vendors to meet timelines.
  • Ensure designs adhere to local building codes and safety standards.
  • Present concepts using 2D/3D renderings, mood boards, and client presentations.
  • Stay updated on trends, materials, and technologies related to kitchen and bath design.
  • Deliver excellent customer service and maintain positive client relationships throughout the project.
  • Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other professionals to integrate designs into remodels.
  • Pursue continuous learning through workshops, trade shows, and seminars.

  1. Client Consultation: Meet with clients to understand their lifestyle, requirements, and design preferences for their kitchen and bathroom spaces. Identify their specific needs and budget constraints to develop personalized design solutions.
  2. Design Development: Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software and other design tools to create detailed and visually appealing kitchen and bath layouts. Ensure that designs are aesthetically pleasing, practical, and compliant with building codes and regulations.
  3. Material Selection: Assist clients in choosing appropriate materials, finishes, fixtures, appliances, and other elements for their kitchen and bath spaces. Source high-quality products that align with the design concept and budget.
  4. Space Planning: Optimize the layout and flow of kitchen and bathroom areas to maximize functionality, efficiency, and use of available space. Pay close attention to ergonomics and user experience.
  5. Estimations and Budgeting: Provide accurate cost estimates for the proposed designs, considering materials, labor, and installation expenses. Work within the client's budgetary constraints while ensuring the quality of the final project.
  6. Project Management: Oversee the entire design process, coordinating with contractors, vendors, and other professionals involved in the project. Monitor project timelines and ensure timely completion.
  7. Code Compliance: Ensure that all designs adhere to local building codes, safety standards, and industry best practices.
  8. Presentations: Effectively communicate design concepts and proposals to clients through 2D and 3D renderings, mood boards, and presentations. Address client feedback and incorporate necessary revisions into the design.
