Job summary

Paw Paw Public Schools in Michigan is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support food service operations in the cafeteria. The role involves preparing and cooking food in large quantities, serving customers, and maintaining records.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent, be able to stand long periods and lift up to 50 pounds, and ideally know Meal Magic. Work hours are 7:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on professional development days.

• Work as part of a team and assist fellow co-workers in their duties
• Prepare and cook food in large quantities

• Serve and clean up in kitchen and cafeteria
• Keep kitchen at Health Department regulation standards
• Properly check in food products and place them in appropriate storage areas in a timely manner
• Other duties assigned by the Food Service Director or his/her designee
