Kit Packer

Bring your experience and ideas and help us bring the highest quality products and service to our customers. This role will be an integral part of the manufacturing team. You’ll be able to hone your technical abilities through performing kit packing work for Aeronautical Accessories’ manufacturing department under general supervision.

This position will provide kitting support for Aeronautical Accessories manufacturing by correctly packing products in kits for delivery to customers and assisting with other miscellaneous department activities.

What you’ll be doing as a Kit Packer

  • Receiving and stocking incoming parts from vendors
  • Building kits per customer orders
  • Ensuring products are kitted suitably for delivery to our customers
  • Operate label maker by creating and printing labels for kits
  • Receive kit components from the inventory store, and logically arrange components on shrink board
  • Able to perform kit packing duties with supervision
  • Operating shrink wrap machine and using paper cutter without assistance
  • Knowledge and demonstration of safe work habits to include always wearing proper PPE

Skills You Bring To this Role

  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Outlook, and Word
  • Ability to read, understand and follow work instructions

What you need to be successful

  • 0-1 year of experience in manufacturing, packing, shipping, or related skills
  • High School Diploma or GED

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Capable of standing for extended periods during the entire duration of shift
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for handling small components and tools.
  • Flexibility to bend, stoop, and crouch as required for tasks.
  • Good vision, including the ability to focus on small details and identify defects.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding progress and potential issues.
  • Willingness to follow instructions and ask for clarification when needed.
