Job summary

Kit/Pack Operator 1 at Millerbernd Manufacturing Company in Winsted, MN joins the Transportation and Infrastructure team. The role includes operating material handling equipment, packaging and labeling products, and entering data into the production system to support timely shipments.

Shift: 1st (Mon-Thu 5am-5pm) and Weekend 5am-5pm with a $2.50/hour differential. Candidates should have strong English communication, basic shop math, blueprint reading, and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing is required.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Ability to accurately use tape measures and precision measuring devices.
• Proficient in interpreting blueprints and mechanical drawings.
• Computer literacy, including word processing, spreadsheets, email, shop floor control, production planning, and inventory control systems.
• Ability to perform basic shop math functions.

Responsibilities

• Uses cranes, forklifts, and other material handling equipment to move materials and products.
• Packages, bands, and shrink-wraps products or loads.
• Enters production data into the tracking system.
• Inspects equipment and lifting devices.
• Processes material transactions using barcode readers.
• Performs cycle counts and inventory checks.
• Reads drawings/prints to identify parts.
• Gathers, picks, and assembles products per pick lists.
• Executes daily production plans to maintain material flow.
