Job summary

Millerbernd Manufacturing in Winsted, MN is hiring for a Kit/Pack Operator 1 on the 1st shift. You will transport, package, and prepare parts for shipment, entering data into the production system and verifying inventory against documentation.

Qualifications

• English communication skills required (verbal & written).

• Basic shop math skills required.
• Read, understand, and complete internal manufacturing documentation.
• Able to electronically record production information accurately.

Responsibilities

• Processes material transactions using barcode readers.

• Performs cycle counts and verifies quantities against docs.
• Gathers, picks and assembles products from pick/load lists.
• Places products in designated storage areas and ensures flow meets schedule.

NOW HIRING: We are hiring Kit/Pack Operator 1 to join our Transportation and Infrastructure team. The Kit/Pack Operator 1 is responsible for the identification and location of specific component parts, preparation of products for shipment, and delivering the materials/products to their intended locations.

We're currently hiring for the following positions:

Job Title: Kit/Pack Operator 1
Location: Winsted, MN
Salary Range:$19.93 – $23.18/hour (Non-Exempt)
In compliance with Minnesota Pay Transparency Law, this range reflects the anticipated compensation for this role. Actual pay may vary based on experience, education, and other factors.
Shift Schedule: 1st shift: Monday - Thursday 5am - 5pm, Weekend shift: Friday – Sunday 5am – 5pm
Shift Differential: 1st shift: N/A, Weekend shift: $2.50/hour

As a Kit/Pack Operator 1, you will:

• Uses jib cranes, related lifting devices, forklifts, or other material handling equipment to transport materials and products into and out of work areas as required
• Packages, bands, and shrink-wraps products or loads
• Enters job data into the production tracking system
• Inspects material handling equipment and lifting devices
• Processes material transactions using barcode readers
• Checks for inventory and data recording errors daily
• Performs cycle counts
• Verifies quantities listed on manufacturing documentation and confirms items conform to prints
• Properly organizes and stores materials
• Verifies and counts parts moved to ensure paperwork accuracy and inventory integrity
• Maintains organization of products and raw materials
• Reads drawings/prints to identify parts
• Gathers, picks, and assembles products according to pick lists/load lists
• Places product in designated storage areas
• Executes daily production plans to ensure material flow meets scheduling demands

Role qualifications as a Kit/Pack Operator 1:

• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing is required
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
• Ability to accurately use tape measures and precision measuring devices
• Proficient in interpreting blueprints and mechanical drawings
• Computer literacy, including word processing, spreadsheets, email, shop floor control, production planning, and inventory control systems
• Ability to perform basic shop math functions
• Ability to read, understand, and complete required internal manufacturing documentation
• Ability to electronically record production information accurately
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a high-performance team
• Ability to adapt to changing work priorities
• Ability to work under limited supervision while following standardized practices and procedures
