Job summary

America's Future is seeking an intern to join our Washington, DC team this spring. You will support the production of DC events, including our Annual Gala & Awards Showcase, and fellowship programs that connect our community year-round.

This hands-on role gives you a front-row view of how a nonprofit builds and delivers programs from planning to the night of the event. You will report to the COO and assist with logistics, guest lists, communications, and data in our CRM, with a metro travel

• Assist with daily office operations.

About the role

America's Future is looking for an intern to join our Washington, DC team this spring. You'll work at the center of two things we care about most: supporting the production of DC events, including our Annual Gala & Awards Showcase, and the fellowship programs and chapters that bring our community together year-round. This is a hands-on role for someone who wants to see how a nonprofit builds and delivers programs and events, from the first planning spreadsheet to the night itself.

The intern will report to the Chief Operating Officer and support the needs of the full team. They will receive a travel stipend for the metro.

Primary Responsibilities

• Support Annual Gala planning and logistics
• Manage guest lists, RSVPs, and registration in Salesforce and Eventbrite
• Assist with sponsor, donor, and honoree communications
• Provide program support for AF's fellowships and chapters
• Track attendance, participation, and feedback, and keep program data current in our CRM
• Support AF-DC events
• Contribute content for AF's social media around programs and events
• Assist with daily office operations

$5,500 - $7,500 a year

Stand Together Fellowships pays participants a stipend of either $7,500 for full‑time participants working approximately 32 hours per week at the partner organization, or $5,500 for part‑time participants working approximately 24 hours per week at the partner organization. Attending the entirety of the online and on‑site KIP programming is required for both full and part‑time participation.
