Job summary

LTC Language Solutions in Indianapolis, IN seeks contracted Kinyarwanda-English interpreters to provide on-site interpretation on an as-needed basis. The ideal candidate has 2+ years in medical interpreting and 3+ years of general interpreting experience and must comply with HIPAA privacy rules.

You will operate as an independent contractor, not as a LTC employee, and must reside within commuting distance of Indianapolis, IN.

Qualifications

• Interpreting certifications, preferred
• Minimum of 2 years medical interpreting experience
• Minimum of 3 years of interpreting experience
• Ability to keep accurate records

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site, in-person interpretation.
• Be a liaison using the client’s preferred language
• Accurately interprets appropriate to the setting and audience.
• Comply with all state, local, and federal laws and regulations regarding privacy and confidentiality of medical information, including HIPAA.
