The Wedding Sales Manager leads the sales journey for destination weddings and their surrounding celebrations, including welcome receptions, rehearsal dinners, ceremonies, wedding receptions, farewell brunches, and guest accommodations.
From the first conversation to the signed agreement, this role inspires confidence through attentive listening, thoughtful recommendations, and exceptional follow-through. You will develop relationships with couples and wedding planners, create tailored proposals, host memorable site experiences, and secure business that supports the resort’s revenue goals.
Reporting to the Director of Sales & Marketing, you will partner closely with Event Services and resort operations to ensure every commitment is carefully documented and every couple experiences a seamless transition into planning.

Job Responsibilities
- Welcome each inquiry with timely, personal communication that reflects Kindred's warmth and attention to detail.
- Discover each couple's vision, priorities, traditions, guest needs, and investment expectations.
- Lead engaging site tours and virtual presentations that help couples imagine their celebration unfolding at Kindred.
- Present venues, accommodations, culinary offerings, and resort experiences through recommendations tailored to each celebration.
- Build trusted relationships with couples, families, and wedding planners through clear guidance and consistent follow-through.
Grow Wedding Business
- Meet established sales goals for wedding-related room revenue, food and beverage, and venue fees.
- Develop compelling proposals that convey the experience and value of a Kindred celebration.
- Negotiate and secure agreements within approved pricing, concession, and contracting guidelines.
- Proactively cultivate relationships with wedding planners, luxury travel advisors, vendors, and referral partners.
- Identify opportunities to extend the celebration through additional gatherings, accommodations, and personalized resort experiences.
- Maintain an active prospecting and follow-up rhythm to advance opportunities from inquiry to confirmation.
- Represent Kindred at relevant showcases, industry gatherings, and networking events.
Guide a Thoughtful Planning Transition
- Clearly explain venue fees, food and beverage minimums, room block commitments, payment schedules, and agreement terms.
- Confirm the feasibility of special requests with the appropriate resort teams before making commitments.
- Capture each couple's preferences, priorities, approved concessions, and contractual details accurately.
- Coordinate a personal introduction and comprehensive handoff to the designated Event Services team member.
- Partner with Reservations and the Group Rooms Coordinator to communicate accommodation needs and room block arrangements.
- Support sales-related questions and approved agreement changes as planning progresses.
- Evaluate opportunities with consideration for seasonal demand, venue availability, room inventory, and overall revenue contribution.
- Recommend enhancements that enrich the guest experience while supporting profitability.
- Maintain accurate proposals, agreements, activity records, and forecasts in Delphi FDC and related systems.
- Monitor inquiry volume, conversion, booking pace, referral sources, and lost business.
- Coordinate with Finance and Event Services to track required deposits and outstanding documentation.
- Share market insights and client feedback to inform pricing, packages, and future wedding offerings.
Bring the Kindred Experience to Life
- Collaborate closely with Sales & Marketing, Event Services, Culinary, Banquets, Reservations, Front Office, Spa, and other resort teams.
- Ensure every proposal, presentation, and client interaction reflects a polished yet approachable brand voice.
- Partner with Marketing to strengthen wedding storytelling, planner outreach, and promotional opportunities.
- Balance creative ideas with operational understanding so the experience promised can be delivered with care.
- Contribute to a team culture grounded in kindness, accountability, and genuine hospitality.
Seasonal Task Force Focus
- This assignment will provide dedicated wedding sales support during a defined period. Priorities include:
- Taking ownership of incoming inquiries and active wedding opportunities.
- Advancing site tours, proposals, negotiations, and agreements.
- Maintaining responsive, consistent communication with couples and planners.
- Strengthening sales documentation and planning handoffs.
- Providing a thorough transition of active leads, confirmed business, and outstanding commitments at the conclusion of the assignment.
Job Requirements
Required
- At least three years of hotel or resort wedding sales, catering sales, or closely related hospitality sales experience.
- Demonstrated success converting inquiries into confirmed business and achieving sales goals.
- Experience creating proposals, negotiating agreements, and conducting engaging site tours.
- Working knowledge of wedding operations, banquet service, food and beverage planning, and hotel room blocks.
- Excellent communication, organization, and relationship management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities with composure.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and hotel sales or CRM systems.
