Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited program or university approved by US DoE and TEA
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements for subject and level
• Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned
• For secondary ELAR teachers: must hold ESL certification or obtain by April of the hiring year

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned to district curricula and virtual learning resources
• Plan and use instructional strategies and materials for distance and in-person learning
• Assess student learning and adapt instruction based on results
• Collaborate with special education staff to modify curricula as needed for IEPs
• Provide instruction and manage classroom behavior in accordance with Student Code of Conduct
• Coordinate with parents and staff to support student growth and development
• Supervise instructional aides and volunteers as assigned
