Seguin Independent School District is seeking an Elementary School Teacher (K-5) to deliver core instruction and distance/virtual learning as needed. The teacher reports to the Principal and works on a 187-day schedule in a campus setting.

Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree, a valid Texas teaching certificate with endorsements for the subject and grade, and ESL certification for ELAR or acquisition by April.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited program or TEA approved university
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements for subject and level
• Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned
• For secondary ELAR teachers: ESL certification or obtain by April
• Knowledge of curriculum and instruction; ability to manage student behavior
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

Responsabilités

• Plan and implement lesson plans through curriculum programs and distance/virtual learning
• Use instructional strategies and resources suitable for varied learning styles
• Assess student learning and adjust instruction accordingly
• Collaborate with special education staff to modify curricula as needed
• Maintain confidentiality and professional accountability across activities
• Supervise instructional aides and volunteers as assigned
