• Use appropriate instructional strategies and materials reflecting each student’s culture, learning styles, and socio-economic background.
• Fulfill the terms of any affected written contract and adhere to ethics and regulations of the education profession in Florida.
• Use understanding of learning and human development to provide a positive learning environment.
• Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the subject matter.
• Establish a classroom management system that engages students and supports self-motivation.
• Plan, align, implement, and evaluate effective instruction and assessment.
• Collaborate with peers, parents, community, and other stakeholders.
• Integrate technology in teaching and learning processes.
• Complete ESOL training and obtain endorsement if LEP students are assigned.
• Keep school records and submit reports as required by law and regulations.
• Account for all school property and related items to the principal or district.
• Perform and promote all activities in compliance with equal employment and non-discrimination policies.
• Ensure adherence to safety procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the principal.
