Job description

Position: Kindergarten Teacher

Position Summary: A Kindergarten teacher is a highly qualified and Indiana State certified teacher with a Kindergarten Endorsement. The teacher is responsible for delivering the Common Core State Standards and the SBCSC curriculum in a differentiated, general education learning environment.

Immediate Supervisor: Building Principal

Responsibilities:
  1. Implement the kindergarten curriculum using corporation-provided instructional resources.
  2. Plan lessons, provide instruction, support, guidance, and manage the learning process tailored to students' individual needs.
  3. Assess student growth and maintain a safe classroom environment with appropriate management strategies.
  4. Make parent contact as necessary to support each child's learning.
  5. Complete and maintain all required student records.
  6. Utilize SBCSC technology as required.
  7. Employ a variety of teaching strategies to engage students and structure the classroom environment to maintain interest and engagement.
  8. Maintain professional responsibilities by attending staff meetings and participating in staff development.
  9. Collaborate with the grade level team.
Qualifications:
  • License with Kindergarten Endorsement
  • Highly Qualified status
